Library News - Poetry Reading Open Mic Night, Amazing Apples StoryTime, & Library Title Feature

The Manistique School & Public Library will host a Poetry Reading Open Mic Night on Thursday, September 17, from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. The event will be hosted by published poet Wayne Pope, Professor of Photography at Lansing Community College.

Those who attend are invited to share a favorite poem or excerpt. The poetry can be something you’ve written yourself or a piece by a favorite poet or author. We only ask that readings are kept to a maximum of five minutes. If you enjoy poetry but would rather listen, you are welcome to come sit back and enjoy!

But the fun doesn’t end there! Friday, September 18, at 10 a.m. is our first StoryTime of the fall. Children ages five and under, with adult supervision, are welcome to join us for apple themed activities, stories, snacks, and fun!
